Youth Programs Manager

The Ballarat Foundation works to strengthen Ballarat and the surrounding communities through community partnerships and volunteering activity. With a mix of community programs, grant allocations and advocacy projects the Ballarat Foundation champions giving in all forms in its quest to break the cycles of disadvantage.

About the role:

The Youth Programs Manager role is to coordinate all programs and initiatives directly impacting the Ballarat Foundation’s strategic pillar of youth success, including its primary program the TAC L2P Program. The TAC L2P Program assists Learner Drivers under 21 years of age, who do not have access to a supervising driver or vehicle, to gain the driving experience required to apply for a probationary license.  Eligible young people are matched with fully licensed Volunteer Mentors and have access to a sponsored vehicle for supervised driving experience.   

The TAC L2P Program is free for eligible young people and is funded by the TAC via VicRoads.  The program is at its core a volunteer program looking after the mentors and ensuring they have the resources to assist the learners who are in the program. 

This is a full time role, with flexibility for the right candidate.

Working closely with the Community Impact Manager you will:

  • Oversee the successful management of the TAC L2P Program including the expansion of the program
  • Develop and manage new initiatives to support the Ballarat Foundation Youth Program goals
  • Be an active member of the local youth sector and provide timely insights and reporting to the Ballarat Foundation management and Board

Do you have what it takes? You’ll need to demonstrate:

  • A passion for Ballarat and surrounding communities
  • Previous experience in managing youth programs
  • Successful time management and relationship building skills

Attractive remuneration and benefits, including the ability to salary package up to $18,550 tax free.
