Colliers International Ballarat and Geelong recently celebrated their 10th year in operation as acclaimed real estate partners. In 2009, the offices opened simultaneously and since then they have actively supported the Ballarat Foundation through workplace giving and other programs. An ongoing commitment from joint managing directors, David Wright and Andrew Lewis, to support the local community, has ensured a great relationship with the Ballarat Foundation today and previously with United Way. Both David and Andrew share similar values to the Ballarat Foundation and believe in creating strong and healthy communities.
It is because of Colliers commitment to the community, that for their 10th anniversary, they decided to raffle something meaningful which came in the form of an 1869 gold sovereign. They chose this prize because the Colliers building on Sturt St was completed in 1870, however no gold sovereigns were made in 1870! Regardless of this minor detail, Colliers are celebrating not only their 10th anniversary but also their building turning 150 years old! We think that the gold sovereign is a perfect way to celebrate a great milestone.
Of course, it is apt that Colliers chose to celebrate with a raffle, the proceeds of which being donated to the Ballarat Foundation. We in turn, will ensure these funds help local programs and charities create real change in our four priority areas of early childhood, youth success, food security and housing security.
The Ballarat Foundation is so thankful for the ongoing support of Colliers International. To David, Andrew and all the staff, we wish you all the best for the next 10 years and more!
