Adverse Weather Conditions
Twilight Cinema is an outdoor event and is subject to adverse weather conditions. In the event of inclement weather, the screening will be cancelled. This will be advertised on this website, and the Ballarat Foundation facebook page (Saturday March 11).  Please retain your tickets and/or receipts and contact info@ballaratfoundation.org for instructions regarding refunds.

Where can I park my car?
Parking is available on Wendouree Parade, or in designated parking areas of the Begonia Festival. However, please note that any cars parked on Wendouree Parade MUST be removed by no later than 6am on Monday 13 March to make room for the Festival Parade.  Any cars not complying with this may be towed.

Can I bring a dog?
Only assistance dogs are permitted at this event.

What are the seating arrangements?
You can bring low beach chairs (without legs), cushions, blankets and rugs.

Can I bring chairs?
If you need to bring a chair, you will be directed to sit behind all other patrons at the cinema in the designated section.

Can I BYO?
You are most welcome to bring your own food and drinks (not including alcohol) or enjoy something from our onsite caterers. Intoxicated patrons will be asked to leave.

Can I smoke?
This is a smoke-free event. If you wish to smoke you will be directed to leave the cinema area. Pass-outs are available.

Cancellation due to technical failure or temporary venue closure
If the screening is cancelled due to a technical failure or the temporary closure of the venue, please retain your tickets and/or receipts and contact info@ballaratfoundation.org for instructions regarding refunds.

What time do the gates open and films start?
Gates open at 6pm and the screening starts at sundown – approximately 8.30pm.  Live entertainment will be provided from 7pm.

Do you offer a reduced ticket price for carers?
Carers attending disabled people will be admitted free of charge by identifying themselves at the gate with the people they are caring for.

How do I collect my tickets?
You can purchase tickets at The Ballarat Foundation (Level 1, 3 Peel Street South, Ballarat) or you can purchase tickets online at www.ballaratfoundation.org.  If you purchase on line please print your email invoice and present for entry.

How much do tickets cost?
General Admission Adult: $15 , Child : $8.50 , Family – two adults and up to three children: $40. (prices inclusive of GST) Children under three are admitted free.

Where can I buy tickets? What cards do you accept?
Online: www.ballaratfoundation.org – pay with Paypal (eftpos, mastercard, visa – no Paypal account required).

In person: At the Ballarat Foundation office; Level 1, 3 Peel Street South Ballarat  during business hours or at the Begonia Festival at BotanicKids enclosure

At the Box Office: You can visit the Box Office at the Twilight Cinema, Lake Wendouree Foreshore (opposite Botanic Gardens) on Sunday 12 March. Gates open at 6pm, however tickets are subject to availability.

We can only process cash or Visa/Mastercard transactions at the Box Office (i.e. NO debit cards).
