Imagine being unable to obtain a driver’s licence simply because you don’t have access to a car or a supervising driver. This is a barrier that many young people face.
The TAC L2P program aims to minimize this barrier by matching eligible learner drivers aged 16-21 years with fully licensed volunteer mentor drivers, enabling the learner to meet the required 120 hours of driving practice before gaining their probationary licence.
If you would like to help young people and you meet the following requirements, please get in touch:
- Over 21 years of age
- Hold a current full Victorian driver’s licence
- Hold a current satisfactory Driver History Report
- Possess strong communication skills
- Able to commit to a minimum of 2-3 hours per week
*If you are unable to make a weekly time commitment, there is also an opportunity for casual mentors.
